This is funny, have a sense of humor N4G
Still, if you were playing on PC you would just be on a dedicated serv.... uhhhh.... wait.....
Now thats the trick ain't it?
You do have a valid point. MW2 is seriously hyped, some people may miss some real gems as a result.
Its simply amazing to me that there is a big market for overpaying a week before release?
I can't explain how much joy this brings me. I love Glalaga.
Shhhhhh, very rarely, but occasionally I will admit that I watch just a little rastlin. TNA had some fresh faces, but the unfortunate reality is that once they are in a position to be noticed, they can just up and leave for the big leagues. What they need to do is shrink their roster, go with the younger guys and just two or three Vets tops. Make them all partners in the company and profit share in hopes of keeping guys once they make a name for themselves. They also need to insist on the guy...
Seriously, why do they sell those. Hey, here is hardware that cuts us out of the software business.... Bad long term business strategy?
I honestly don't know what to say about this one. Cool, but weird, but cool, but weird?
Gentlemen start your overclock!
Edge,
That is more or less what the article suggests. If you can get a better deal elsewhere, just go there. Don't like the lack of dedicated servers, or the console tax, rather than gripe and fill out a petition just buy a competitors game with the money you had reserved for MW2. Thats the only way to get your point across as a protest.
IW selects its marketing and distribution partners like any developer. Its their chosen relationship so I think its fair to say they are guilty by association.
I'm full of nerd rage personally. I think the world has gotten past the point where the term "nerd" is no longer a derogatory reference, at least I hope it has. In the scope of the article, its intended to be playful and not offensive.
I'm a nerd, geek, whatever. Its a label, but I don't think it has the negative connotation that it once did. I nerd rage constantly, over dedicated servers, over hardware specs, over games, over films. Nerds and geeks are my people, they...
Link fail....
Not to mention the prospect of picking this up for a mere $19.99 on Steam. I'm sold.
I don't mean to discount what you are saying, you just have to understand, that is a title laden with controversy. Its the kind of thing you have to go into expecting it to cause a stir. Some of it positive in generated traffic, some of it negative in criticism. You have to take the bad with the good.
It is nearly impossible to make a list like this and get any sort of agreement. None of my favorites are represented, but still, the list is comprised of all solid titles.
Then indicate that through the article's title.
The title is intentionally vague to illicit shock that will draw peoples curiosity, and subsequent rage. You can't title an article this way and not expect to draw criticism.
I think the people that are reporting this article are not being 100% fair to its point of view. They are not claiming that GameStop will fall off the face of the earth tommorow, but with a slow economy coupled with the advent of true broadband and massive and cheap storage in the way of magnetic drives, you have to wonder how long people are going to want to go to a store to purchase a piece of optical media. I already buy all my PC content on Steam, I'm sure its cost my local Gamestop a few...
This holiday is going to be really interesting. It seems like the tide is turning for Sony, perhaps their plan is finally coming together?
Well, the console was destined to fail eventually, may as well get it out of the way.
